II PETER 1:9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

1----For sure, if not already, we all doubt our salvation, or lack assurance, some time or another
2----Its not a good feeling but, it sometimes happens
3----However, with a better understanding of his word-(KJV), we doubt less often
4----Some of these next thots are hard to explain, especially, in a few words

WITH THAT SAID, LET’S LOOK AT SOME THOUGHTS FOR ASSURANCE;

II TIM.2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
1---WE HAVE ASSURANCE THRU THE SEAL==the LORD knoweth his
1---sometimes we forget or lack assurance, but, he never does
2---this is the foundational truth that bought us before we got here
3---if he were to forget, we would be in trouble, but, he does not
4---our total salvation plan is sealed with this fact
5---we are no stranger to him, when we repented, he was expecting us
6—thank god our salvation assurance is sealed

II PETER 1:16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
2---WE HAVE ASSURANCE THRU THE SIGHTS=they were eyewitnesses to him
1---with own eyes they saw him 2---handled him 3---felt his breath
4---they said "never seen it this way in Jerusalem" 5---never man spake like him
6---of course we can’t humanly see him now, we can see his works
7—we see him change lives we thot could not be changed
8—thank God for the sights we see, that prove he is real

II PETER 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
3---WE HAVE ASSURANCE THRU THE SCRIPTURES==the Bible
1---Peter says we have a more sure word of prophecy than sight
2---I have seen some things that were slight of hand, but not real, though it looked real
3---sure==stedfast, firm, dependable, "thy word is settled forever in Heaven"
4---thank God for the blessed word of God, brings peace and stability
5---do well to take heed to it, without it, there is very little assurance
6---thank God for the scriptures he has used to give me assurance

II PETER 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
4---WE HAVE ASSURANCE THRU THE SPIRIT==moved
1---I’m glad there are times I can feel him, and it brings assurance
2—the night I was saved I didn’t know much bible, but he brought feeling !
3—I believe a person becoming saved comes with truck load of feeling
4—Jesus told peter "my father hath revealed it unto thee"
5---Isaiah 26:3-4=thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee
6—I believe this verse is in reference to comfort of the spirit
7—I’ve seen times bible verses just didn’t bring assurance though I believed them
8—there are times when we just need to feel what we have
9—I’m not talking feeling alone but , coupled with other truths, doctrines
10—all feeling in world will not produce any truth, but, one word of truth, brings feeling
1—I John teaches we have an unction, anointing, understanding, all equals=feelings
12—thank God for the blessed HOLY SPIRIT !!!

IN CONCLUSION, WE NEVER WANT TO DOUBT, BUT, GOD USES AT LEAST THIS MANY WAYS TO BRING US TO SALVATION ASSURANCE. HE WANTS US TO BE ASSURED, CAUSE THIS IS WHEN WE STAND, AND REJOICE.
